A pallet of stock is stuck at a terminal and your customer needs it tomorrow. We collect it as soon as it is released and drive it straight to the destination. For warehouse and terminal collections, the cargo must be available for release and you provide the pickup number, reference and contact.

Your booked carrier cancelled the morning of the move. Send us the route and cargo details and we confirm whether our van can take over the trip and when.

Extra Vehicle Needed

What Is Hot Shot Delivery?

Hot Shot delivery is a dedicated urgent trip arranged for one specific request. Instead of waiting for space on a scheduled freight line, your cargo gets its own vehicle and goes directly from collection to delivery, with no terminals, transfers or other customers' stops on the way.

Urgency defines the service, not distance. A Hot Shot can be a 20-minute run across Edmonton, a regional trip to Red Deer or Grande Prairie, or a long-distance interprovincial drive. Before the trip we confirm the pickup time and an estimated arrival time based on the route, road conditions and driving-time rules.

Scheduled transportation is planned in advance and priced for flexibility. Urgent transportation is arranged around your deadline. An urgent request does not automatically mean same-day arrival: on a long route the earliest arrival depends on the distance and when the cargo is ready.

Urgent Delivery for Businesses

When a delivery cannot wait for the next scheduled truck, businesses use our Hot Shot service as an on-demand extra vehicle. Typical applications include:

The van has no liftgate and we do not provide a forklift. Palletized cargo needs a forklift or loading dock at both pickup and delivery, or the pallet must be broken down so items can be loaded by hand.

Canada-Wide Hot Shot Delivery — Based in Edmonton

Edmonton is our operating base, not the limit of our service area. You can request local, regional and interprovincial trips. We operate one van, so every route is confirmed individually: we check availability, the earliest pickup time and a realistic arrival time before you book.

3. Confirm price and timing — We contact you to confirm availability, the final price and the pickup and arrival times.
4. Cargo is collected — The driver collects your cargo at the agreed time and drives it directly to the destination.
5. Delivery confirmation — We let you know as soon as the cargo has been delivered.

Hot Shot Delivery Questions

Is hot shot delivery available for individuals?

Yes. Hot Shot is available to individuals as well as businesses. People use it for furniture and appliance pickups, Marketplace purchases, large gifts and personal belongings that need to move quickly and do not fit in a car.

Can you collect a delayed shipment from a warehouse?

Yes, as long as the cargo is available for release and you provide the collection details: the warehouse or terminal address, pickup or reference number, the name the shipment is under, and any release paperwork the facility requires.

Can you help if another carrier cancels?

Often, yes. Send your route, cargo details and deadline through the calculator or call us. We check whether our van is available and confirm the earliest pickup and estimated arrival before you commit.

Can you deliver furniture or a large gift?

Yes. Sofas, tables, beds, appliances, bikes, TVs and other large items are common Hot Shot deliveries. You can request help with loading and unloading.

Do you provide delivery across Canada?

We are based in Edmonton and accept local, regional and interprovincial trips. We operate one van, so each route is confirmed individually for availability and timing. We do not have branches or vehicles stationed in other provinces.

Is same-day delivery available?

Same-day pickup is possible when the van is available, and a same-day surcharge applies. Whether delivery also happens the same day depends on the distance: on long routes the arrival time is confirmed for your specific trip.

What size and weight can your van carry?

Our Ford Transit 350 high-roof extended cargo van carries up to about 1,700 kg and roughly 10 m³ of cargo. These figures are confirmed for your load before booking. If you are unsure, add the dimensions or photos in the calculator, or choose "I don't know" for a manual review.

Can you help with loading and unloading?

Yes. The driver can help, and additional movers can be arranged when required. Tell us about stairs, elevators and access in the calculator. We have no liftgate or forklift, so pallets need a forklift or dock at both ends.

How is the estimate calculated?

A Hot Shot estimate includes a per-kilometre rate for the loaded route, a per-kilometre rate for driving to the pickup and the empty return to Edmonton, and a base fee. Applicable urgency surcharges (same-day, immediate, night, weekend or holiday), extra stops, the fuel surcharge and 5% GST are added and shown line by line.

Is my delivery booked after I submit the form?

No. Submitting the form sends a request with a preliminary estimate. Your delivery is booked only after we contact you and confirm the price, availability and timing.
